I was thinking today about the little things that happen to/with Nike that brighten my day. Today, I was enjoying watching the beautiful colors his fur makes when he was getting his blowout after the bath (those gorgeous bands of color!). And then admiring how much he shone when he was outside in the sun. :smile2:

What have your simple Sheltie pleasures been today?
 
Simple pleasures - there are so many of them each day.

Today - I think it was waking up with Emma curled up tight to my back, and Liam crawling up on me and staring me in the eyes to say good morning.
 
Unfortunately, not having a dog with me right now means that my simple Sheltie pleasures are few and far between... :(

But! Yesterday I had someone come by the house to have puppy ears done. The puppy in question was a total sweetheart snugglebug and (super-bonus!) had just gotten a bath the night before... so he smelled delicious! My SSP for yesterday was having a squirmy-soft puppy tucked under my arm.

My favorite SSP with Mark was giving him back scratches while he leeeeeaned all of his weight against me... and the sweet, loving look in his eyes.

hmmmmm... last night I asked my guy if maybe we should think about bringing one of Mom's dogs home for the summer. He said "of course". :biggrin2:

we went hiking with friends and like usual he wanted to get wet to cool down.
watching the joy in his step after a dunk in the cool stream made my heart smile.
 
We just took our dogs for a walk (and our neighbor's dogs) and Bentley and Lexi walked side by side right next to each other (touching the whole time!). It was really cute. Definitely made me smile!
 
I am graced with soo many each day...from Six who even though he is a wild boy will come up to me and jump up on me so I can pick him up and love him..and he throws his head in the crook of my neck with all his weight to snuggle in...or Tucker who comes up on the couch next to me to snuggle in the back of my knees. And Molly who in her quirky way will squish herself between my legs so I can scratch her butt..and Noah who will come and sit infront of me and bark at me until I talk to him :)
 
Watching my dog run with complete purpose on the beach this morning, herding other dogs that were retrieving balls, weaving in and out in serpentines. And then there were were some incredible outruns of a quarter of a mile, when he went to circle out around a dog not in our group.
 
So many...
I love to see the smiles on Joey and Bailey's faces when I take them for walks in the city forest. Today it was VERY muddy but they loved it....:rolleyes2:

I love to be sitting on the couch, watching TV, and I call out "Joey" and he comes running from wherever he is in the house and jumps up and snuggles into me. He does this every time I call his name!! He is the best snugglebug in the world.:wink2:

I love to fall asleep with Bailey curled up on the chair in our bedroom and Joey stretched out on our bed--what a sweet way to end the day.

And...Ashley, I love it, too, when Joey and Bailey walk side-by-side, shoulders touching the whole way. It is so cute!
