Hey All,

My new pup is 12 weeks old today! Happy B-day Riley! ;-)

I measured him yesterday, and he is 10 inches from the floor to the front shoulder blades and he weighs 10lbs already!

Does this sound normal to everyone or do I have a little monster on my hands? lol. Not like I could love him any less though.... He's soooo cute.

Other than sending to sheltienation@gmail.com, how else can I share his pic?

btw, this site is great. Very informative.

Happy Birthday to Riley, 12 weeks old !!

Chantale, I know you can share pictures here on this site !:biggrin2:
Just post it here as an attachment just as you would do at the other site I believe.:uhoh: Help if anyone knows for certain.

Izzie was also 10 inches tall when she was 12 weeks old. She is now 14- 15 inches tall and weighs 17 lbs. Izzie just turned 11 months old. Don't think you have anything to worry about regardng Riley's size. You can google "sheltie size chart" to track his growth.

I don't know...anybody want to see what our itty bitty "runt of the litter" who was "going to be too small to show" turned into? :eek2: Little Bits (what a misnomer) is 18 inches and tips the scales at 35 pounds! Can you say "Sheltie-zilla"??

Ailsa was only 10 inches to her withers when she was fully grown , she was the runt of the litter and a right wee pocket rocket.

My Tex is a little over a year and is already 17 in (if I measured correctly...) and about 26 lbs. Big boy. I don't know why he's heavy because he's not fat at all, but he is pretty muscular.

Chunky girl

Hi everyone,
Maya is 26 weeks measures 15.75 to 16 inches and is about 25 lbs. Quite a chunky girl but very muscular and does not seem overweight. Maya has also seemed to stop growing. I have heard of the line that reaches max height at 6 mos. and am wondering is this is true for her.

Good size

My little girl is the perfect size at 14.5" and 18ish pounds (she hasn't been weighed in the past month). You're little one sounds about right. I wouldn't worry about him being too big.
