Zaks breeder did his at 8 weeks the day we brought him home. He fussed while she did them but she just put him in his place and he was perfect after that, she said you can't let them fuss, they have to learn to not wiggle.
I think for that first lesson is why he is so good on the grooming table.
 
I agree with many posts here. Teaching your dog from a early age that you are alpha will get you ahead in the long run. Also they learn to sit still for you which helps in many area's of life. We brought home our 8 week old puppy Chakka on the 29th of June and the breeders glued his ears for us and showed us what to do. It is a two person job. You should start off with holding the puppy in football formation similar to the way some do for infants for burping. Then the second person proceeds with the gluing. Petting, praise and other distractions can and should be used as necessary during this time so they can set. Good Luck and I hope this helps.:fl
