So my 6mth old Sheltie, Sabrina, got a new nickname - "E.T." She grunts and makes the sounds E.T. (from the movie) makes. She makes so many different sounds it is hysterical.
If you rub her belly or pick her up it is the E.T. sound.
If she is playing with my labrador, she is making a funny growling sound.
If I tell the lab not to do something, Sabrina barks loudly at me telling me to stop telling the lab what to do...
If she is jumping up to catch the tennis ball or a fly/bumblebee it is a grunt sound.
If she is waiting for her breakfast/dinner, it is a high pitched bark along with dancing feet that can't sit still. Luckily she is not a spinner...
I knew they were talkative and knew she would bark at things. I just didn't expect all the extra funny noises. I just love this puppy...

-- and he sings. It's not a howl, it's almost as if he's running the scales. He's got a little growl for people who won't pet him, too.
