The time of year has rolled around to salty walkways and paths, my least liked time to walk Willow. I thought I'd be out and back with Willow before the salters arrived but I wasn't. It didn't take too much walking before Willow was at her feet, something that she doesn't do if it's just snow but the salt must sting so I ended up stopping to wipe her paws a few times and we turned around and headed home.
This afternoon's walk will find Willow in boots. At least the snow isn't deep enough for the boots to get lost when they fall off, as they inevitably do. I am trying out new little reusable and disposable rubber boots to protect her feet from salt. If they don't work it will be back to the mutt-lucks which I find a bit of a pain to put on.
