Thinking about opening a pet store....yes, seriously!

Wishing you the very best of luck! :hugs Sounds like a great idea. I live in Ireland so I'm not sure my input will be useful for your consumer research.

I know I speak for all your Forum Friends when I say how very proud of you we all are! :hugs

Now please post some pictures so Sheep will stop griping.

Congratulations on your success, Barb. I admire your bravery to take this chance, I don't know if I'd be able to do it. I hope you continue to see great success in your store.

Truly, it ended up a no brainer. I have exceeded by business projections by about 15%.

My success is due to excellent, well trained, long term and well paid staff. Community involvement, and a really nice looking store that is conducive to weekend events.....

And of course, I use many of your ideas too. We have our Santa event this Sunday.....I will send photos of Indy and Callan....and of course, our events always give 100% of proceeds to rescues. My store, I'm proud to say, is a favourite of the rescues because we just do events to wel.

Again, I just want to thank everyone who input 4 years ago with their ideas.

The stores you are a part of, Barb, really take care of the animals and their owners. My local one is just super - very knowledgeable, remember the names of all my four pets, care what they are fed. Very professional. They also do a lot of fundraising and sponsor kittens to adopt in store.

I would be lost without mine. Congratulations on being part of such a great group.

Congratulations, and wishing you continued success. I believe that your success is related to the fact that your patrons know that you really care about them and their pets.

Yes, Emmasmom

This is why I chose this franchise. And why I invest in my staff. I have a disabled customer that calls the store in advance with her order and gives her credit card info to my manager to process the sale. Now THAT is trust!

It's been an amazing journey, and I'm still learning and adapting to the changing world of the pet industry. But the one thing that never changes is customer is always no. 1.
