throwing up water after drinking lots - ?

Does anyone else's do that? Dexter will drink and drink and drink his water - especially ice cold water. he loves that. and then a few seconds later - throws it up - just water. No matter if its ice cold water he drank or room temp.

Another sheltie I had did the same thing.. Just wondering.

Keeps him from bloating, so it's all good. Maybe take up the water, or simply tell him "enough" and distract him.

Both of ours gorp up water occasionally when they drink a bit too much or too fast.

My pup is doing this too! I have been filling the bowl with just a little at a time.

Riley would do this often when he was a puppy. He would get too excited and drink too much water and then run around in excitement and he would end up throwing up. I would pick up the water bowl after a bit or distract him from the water. He has since stopped doing this.
