tie-dyed boy and the screw

Well, I saw Ollie and his brother wrestling over something small. It then seemed as though whatever it was went down his throat. His breakfast didn't stay down this morning, so I felt a trip down the street to out vet (really nice to have a really great one 2 minutes away). The picture tells the story. Ollie has a sheetmetal screw in his intestinal track. He is spending the night and was put on a really high fiber diet in hopes he will pass this. We all know what will happen if he doesn't. So, just wanted to let all who ahave looked and will look that stuff like this happens and it is probably best to go with the gut feeling.

OMG
can you believe your eyes!!! :eek2:

Hope this comes out naturally!! my word

Me too!
It is a bit comforting having our vets so close, and so good. We left a squeeky toy, a dirty sock of mine (he frequently will grab one out of the dirty clothes to sleep with) and a chewy stick tonight when we went to see him.
His brother is a bit confused and out-of-sorts.
Goes to show that even the best puppy proofing can have foiled!

I was sitting down getting my hair colored and listened to the guy who was fixing my hair tell about how his doberman got sick and they took him to the emergency vet. It ruined his vacation. The vet pulled out a LOT of different stuff. It was so much stuff he handed it back to my hair guy in a gallon ziploc bag!

Among those things was part of a flip flop he had been missing. :eek2:

I do hope that everything is ok and that it doesn't harm your sheltie!

Flip Flop! Were they in pieces or whole....

Thanks, I think there will be a happy ending to this....
I really hope things don't get screwed up.

Well, it looks like it is already out of the stomach. Hopefully it will pass uneventfully.
