Toothbrush toy?

So in Target tonight (as I dragged the SO through the pet section) we saw this toy:

Dear God that is a long link. Anyways, it is a toy that hopefully brushes the dog's teeth as they gnaw on it and try to get the treats out. Does anyone have this or something like it? I was thinking that it could do double duty of giving her something to gnaw on AND get used to the little brushies in her mouth.
 
I think it's a good idea..depending on what kind of chewer you have. I feel like Lexi would probably eat the rubber/plastic without caring at all. :rolleyes2:
 
Trapp and Jasper did not like it.Earnhardt got a hold of hit,and made some serious divots in the ends of it.So it went in garbage~
 
Everett would ignore it. If it ain't a ball, a toy car moving across the floor, or food; it's not worth bothering with.
 
I've never tried it, but I find with the exception of bones, or rawhide, (or plastic things), the boys don't really chew enough on their toys.

My petshop recommends Suzie's Tartar Control. You put 1 tbsp in their water dish and it's supposed to help.

So I thought I would give it a try again today.
 
I would be hesitant to use that toy, given that the tongues might get caught.

I asked at a petstore I was in about LebaIII and if it was ever carried. The owner recommended Tropiclean, a gel that you put along the teeth and gums. You can also get a foam that you spray on. I also have the liquid that I put in the water dishes, similar to what Barb V uses. It seems to be making a difference on the teeth. I was told to give it at least a month's try every day for the gel and it can be cut back to two or three times a week. This product is all natural, frm what I can see.
