Training an older dog to heel

We had NO trouble whatsoever training our first three Shelties to heel. So when we adopted Bentley in February 2009, got our Sheltie pup Zoey in November 2009 and then adopted Murphy (an older Sheltie) in January 2011 we applied the same principles. We've had better luck with Zoey, starting her very early in the training and obedience process, but Bentley and Murphy are still pulling on the leash. We bought Gentle Leader (head halters) for these two, and it's worked for Bentley, but only if he's wearing it. When we go back to a regular collar and lead - forget it - he's back to pulling. We could really use some help here. Any advice is most welcome.

Heeling

I always look to youtube.com and the videos on there. Here is a few of my favorites. If you search 'Heel command' you will get tons of different videos.

if you watch first video clip on 1.36 you will see circling on a object and then heeling. Elegant and easy to teach, besides it is such a fun for dogs!

Thanks for the video links. Can't wait to try this out with Murphy. He's a smart boy who has a not so smart human who loves him...lol.
