OK, I know I'm not the only "case" on this forum. :lol: Does anyone else have a secret ambition for their Sheltie? Here's mine:

I want to take Layla to Paris. Parisians love their dogs -- they're everywhere. I would love to show her the sights as we stroll along the Seine, dine in bistros, climb up to Montmartre, go shopping -- she'd be the toast of Paris! It's my favorite city, and I would love to show it to my girl.

You can cart me away now...:rolleyes2:
 
I totally agree with you Chris! Every time we go abroad I keep saying "wouldn't the pups love this?"

I'd love to take the pups to the Shetland Isles...a homecoming of sorts!
 
I want to take my boy home to Germany to show him where I grew up!
Show him what a green meadow in spring really looks like, how he could romp under old oak trees and wander in 'civilized forests' with paths and no underbrush and where no burr would yank on his coat, lol

Where we would walk on cobblestones and sniff around houses built in the 1500's who have seen so much history and continue to provide living space to this day.

Plus, a less poetic bonus would be that Toffee could show some of the chauvinists in small-town Hickville where I am from, that women make wonderful handlers and trainers ;) :lol:

My secret ambition... well, I'm hoping to go to work to one of the offices of my company abroad (if I could choose, Tokyo!) for a couple of months in a year or so, and take Lucien with me :D.

Mixing business with pleasure? haha
 
Every time I walk my dogs, and see golden retrievers and labs, I want more people to appreciate what wonderful dogs Shelties are....but not so wonderful that the puppy mill people go crazy spitting them out as the next designer dogs.

I also want Shelties to win the next Crufts and Westminters, for the same reasons.

Chris, I can only imagine the reaction of walking your dogs in Paris. Any time I walk my dogs, people fall instantly in love. So why is the Sheltie such a secret?????
 
To go racing with me. He might do really good but I keep chickening out :o. I need to arrange a guest handler one weekend just in case the noise scares him. I know post race he would soak up 1000 pets and compliments though.

C'mon, Sheep! Try it -- but have a Sca bail-out plan in case he freaks. You my be amazed. I toko Bitsy Boode to two wineries today, and she was the toast of Loudoun County!!
 
Ride on the Motorcycles with me. I could cut a hole in the roof of the trunk om my fast bike, but he would just curl up and wait the ride out; and not really enjoy it. Its a 300 dollar trunk; I think he will just stay home.......
 
To go on a walk~about in Ireland with us that we have done in the past. We just walk from B & B to B & B, just wandering here and there through the towns and villages, stopping when and where we feel like it, eating in the local pubs, just loafing the day away, looking at the scenery and watching the birds and the way people live their day to day lives.

Just the three of us!
 
No, no, Ron and Jan! It would need to be the 4 of us. I believe my contract states if you take the dog to another country (one I would like to visit), then you must take McKinley's breeder too, to carry his dog food and brushes!!!
