uh oh...

If you're going to feed raw, you're going to need to accept that poos will be a bit abnormal for the first three weeks or so. It's a BIG change on their system. And mixing it with kibble isn't going to help aid the digestion . It's totally normal to see runny poo, mucus poo, and different poos the first three weeks... and probably longer if you're mixing raw/kibble. Just try to stay calm and know that the raw isn't going to hurt them.

yes, you are right, mixing it isn't a good idea.. so far she hasn't been runny and that is a good thing.

Mixing

I have a litter of pupies weaned onto raw. Some of the new owners will be feeding grain free kibble so I feed them raw morning and noon and kibble in the evening and they are doing well. Strangely three of them developed worms 2 weeks after adding kibble.

Also, if your girl is not spayed a heat cycle might also cause digestive upsets especially with the switching back and forth.

I really really do not think that mixing up food makes ANY difference- historically dogs are opportunistic eaters so getting their food from various sources is a norm for them, not deviation. When Sammy is with me she eats raw, at her home it is kibble- have not seen any difference yet.
