My husband summed it up for me, when I asked him the question. He said "agility is like any hobby. It's harder the better you want to be."

For those who have said they might not do agility/compete I would also say you never know until you try. I've done other obedience and breed showing and can honestly say that doing agility is far less stressful in my experience. I used to literally shake with nerves and pressure for these discplines, but somehow there doesn't seem to be the same opputunity with agility - beforehand you are memorising the course and how to handle it and once you are on the start line there isn't time to spare for worrying. It's so nice to feel a thrill of anticipation instead of dread! I am extremely competitive but somehow with agility it matters far more that we've had a nice round than winning anything and interestingly I'm now finding I'm starting to think this way about obedience too...

So do have a go, it might be one of the best desicions you'll ever make!
