Vocalizing? Do your kids do this?

Claire tries to "vocalize" with me and I guess I'm not sure what it means. But she'll look at me and make this really weird sound like a human gasping but she's not having trouble breathing or anything alarming. It's like a quiet moan/gasp. So much of her past is a mystery and honestly this is all new to her too so maybe she's TRYING to communicate like me and Childbride do?

When she make eye contact with you when she says this sound, I would perceiving this as she is talking to / with you

Zulu is a talker. Usually a soft yip, yip, and drawn out whine or groan. Most of his talk is about needing treats or food!

Tara definitely tries to talk. She can almost make a few words, but not quite. Cooper makes noises ALL OF THE TIME! We think he might be trying to laugh, or talk, or who knows. But he sort of howls, which gets Clarabelle howling. It isn't a full fledged howl. Well, sometimes it is. Mostly, Cooper is happy when he is making noise. But he is not barky.

Bacca was never a talker. But he always did this really cute nose poke thing. Pome, poke, poke. And I've discovered that baby Aiden does the same. But they are related in their genealogy somewhere along the line. Haven't yet had time to figure out how close. So Aiden pokes too. It seems to their way of "see me".

Callan licks me. And when he really wants my attention, he just literally walks all over me. Lo,!

Maddie is definitely a talker. I'm working really really hard on the idea of 'no gratuitous barking in the house', and she's slowly getting it - but is substituting some really creative non-barking vocalizations in lieu of barking. She is especially talky with housemate #2 - oh, the conversations they have!!
