Vomiting, and not eating food

If she keeps up the vomiting, have her pancreatitus checked. My max did that and he was having a pancreatic attack? It also comes with gall bladder issues as well. Pancreatitus kills so be aware. Or it just could be something she ate outside! I give max enzymes on his food to help him digest his food. Might want to try that.

Does he eat twice a day or once a day? Mally eats twice a day.

The same eating schedule from when I was working. (I am retired now)

Mally eats 1/2 cup kibble at 10am and 1/2 cup at 8:30 pm.

ps I was told it is better break up the total amount of food they eat, and feed them half of the total twice a day. I know my stomach would be messed up if I only ate once a day! (also I would be weak as a kitten!)

I always feed my boys twice a day, they've been getting their food at around 8:30 in the morning, and then they are fed at around 7 to 7:30 everynight. Just an update yesterday I gave him his food in the morning, and he ate a little bit for his breakfast, and then fed him the rest of his bowl later that evening and he was able to hold down his kibble through the night. He ate his food this morning, and so far has been able to hold down his food.

Thanks Dawns2shelties for that information. Our angel was 12 when she was diagnosed. She had the textbook symptoms. One day she stopped eating and was vomiting. Her liver enzymes were already being watched b/c she was on anti inflammatories but this time they were through the roof. Ultrasound showed a huge mucocele. She was too old for surgery so we tried treating it medically. Unfortunately that didn't work and 2 days later she crossed the bridge.

To this day I still blame myself for not insisting on checking sooner. She had symptoms for years and as a nurse I should have known better, but I just trusted the vet when they said her symptoms were from Lyme and having an empty stomach. I have learned my lesson and will always follow my gut instincts.

But as they say everything happens for a reason. If this would not have happened we would never have been blessed with our crazy Shelby dog we have now. I sometimes think Hollie is up there laughing at us trying to contol this loveable nut. The complete oposite of how she was.
