Wanting another Sheltie

thanks Barb for the tip. NC isn't too terribly far away-maybe they can ship. I checked out their web page and they have a beautiful bi-black female available! And she's a bit older, so if the price isn't too outrageous for shipping (and the pup)-I could have a new furkid very soon!!! Of course, pending if they like me as well.

Just to update you on my personal quest for pup #2....I decided NOT to visit the breeder today.

I decided I was being premature in running out and getting another pup when I barely had Bacca trained in the basics. I guess I was looking to another pup as a stop-gap solution for preventing Bacca from taking ME over! Wrong, wrong, wrong.

At first I thought I would visit anyway to meet her babies (she had 4 potentials) I decided that this would be a huge mistake as I'm sure I would have succombed on the spot!

So instead I found myself an obedience class and it looks like we can start as early as next Saturday!

I would still like a 2nd pup but maybe a little later. Bacca is only 6 months.

Not in our house! Wolfie literally RUNS up to meet new people. He gets upset if we hold him back. He does the same with dogs. I couldn't believe it when I found out later that Shelties were supposed to be shy!
 
Chinook is the same way. He actually gets upset if someone does not stop and pet him! But, shelties are known to be shy with strangers, but like with anything, not all dogs will fit the 'mold'. :smile2:

Same here! There is nothing shy or nervous about Bacca! And people? He thinks they were put on earth to be his personal play things!

And by the sound of it, Ginnie Mae, who is one of the pups that I'm going to see on Sunday is abit of an alpha female. Could get interesting around our house!
