Warning - image disturbing - what did he eat!

So, Zulu never had an obstruction requiring surgery? That is my worsted fear! Thank goodness Zulu is OK!
Being single at least I keep my house pretty clean and picked up! I can’t imagine how having four little ones can be... too stressful!

At least I was smart enough to purchase pet insurance for him! I hope I will never need it!
No surgery. He just threw them up. The first one was an infant size sock. The second time was the infant headband. It has a flower with a plastic jewel in it. The last time we were out for a walk. Suddenly, he stopped and threw up a sock. At the time, I had no idea what it was. I went back, brought it home, washed it in the sink, and discovered it was a sock from my 5 year old grandson. No idea when he actually found the items, but in each case he threw them up weeks after the kids left. Stressful indeed, the youngest one just started walking...

So glad it wasn't too serious!

When Elise was a bit younger (she seems to have grown out of it) she ate a lot of fur and hair. She'd pick up the dustbunnies from the corners of the house, she'd chase Enzo and end up with a mouthful of hair, and she tried to pick the hair off of some of our toys. Several times she threw up hairballs, and her poops always had hair in it too. So I have seen exactly what you posted before! Yuck!

OMG! What Elise ate sounds exactly like what Liam did!
He is constantly pulling out Beau’s hair! Yes, dust bunnies were definitely on his menu! He did get into corners and I was wondering what was enticing him there! Now I know!!! What the heck... just no reason to eat that! I have a small hand held vacuum and I am going through the house daily now picking them up!

He is doing fine with no ill effects! Thank goodness!

At what age did Elise grow out of that behavior?

Hmmm....I think it was gradual. I just realized one day she hadn’t done it in a while. I still keep the really furry toys away from her. Maybe around 5 months?

My Toby loves to eat things he shouldn't all the time. Any paper products (kleenex, napkins, paper towels) are a constant favorite. He eats the edges off towels and the softie dog blankets. Also hair ties, socks, cloth headbands, and since I have 2 young granddaughters all doll accessories are a potential problem. He ate the pom pom trim off his little sister's sweater while she was wearing it so I had to remove all the cute trimming from her sweaters. Shoelaces and socks are another favorite when he can find them. But at least so far he only eats pieces of things. (Mostly because I catch him in the act.) The difference is Toby poops everything out, he doesn't throw it up. So, like many pet owners, I have to examine it when I clean up after him. :( He is just turning a year and isn't slowing down much at all!:sour:

That is very scary! Toby is really a handful like Liam!

I would be even more scared if he had a blockage!
Last night at 3:00 in the morning he threw up another hair ball!

I hope Toby gets his act together before anything serious happens!

I found this video and it gives great feedback on toys!
