Watson's Ordeal

Oh what a horrible thing! I'm just now reading about it! How absolutely horrible!

If it were me, I would write a letter to the judge that you saw and tell him about the total unconcern by these people. I would tell him the officer came out and gave them a warning. I would mention to him that this dog is often STILL off leash.

Judges do not like it much when they are ignored. Action could be taken by the judge.
 
I agree that you should write a letter to the judge. It will be recorded into records and may help in the future. Also calling the police EVERY TIME there is a violation - they will eventually get tired & maybe the orders will be enforced.

So glad to hear that Watson is recovering - keeping him in my prayers.
 
I'm glad to hear that Watson is doing better already - that is encouraging. Sounds like you have the infection under control.

Keeping dear Watson in my thoughts and prayers for a full and speedy recovery, both physically and mentally. And also for you and your boyfriend to find some peace with this.

I would also suggest putting the phone number for the local police and animal control in your cell phone, and never walking Watson without it.
 
I am fortunate that I don't live in this neighborhood and we have a yard where he goes most of the time. It's not fenced so he gets 4-5 leashed walks each day and we go to the dog park several times a week for a romp. I do believe he thinks he's a cat, and is quite content with this. If he thinks we are going to walk much further than the norm, he balks. It is, however, completely unfair that people who do live in the neighborhood have told their kids not to go outside if this woman and her dogs are out. They should be able to feel safe in their own front yards. I think that the gal who called on Friday is making a complaint with the town and the court tomorrow that nothing was done. I hope that us taking them to court is giving folks more confidence to not let this keep going on. The report from the DCO is that people were intimidated by her boyfriend during the previous attacks and were afraid to file the complaints.

On a Watson note- I'm thinking he must be feeling at least a bit better... he's miffed about the collar (since he's recently started trying to lick it). Miffed I'm not chasing him around the house. Miffed I'm not giving him treats. He stands here woofing and chin lifting at me followed by a short grumble. He's so expressive. And as annoying as he is being I am much happier with it this way!:yes:

LOL Sounds like your Watson is definitely on the mend. He and my Mick would make quite the couple!!! Got to love our silly brat boys!

Being miffed, grumbling, and being so expressive are good signs. Continued prayers for healing for all of you.
 
Glad to hear that he is doing so very well and sounds like he is up to his old self and not to happy he is not being really spoiled rotten.
Peanut butter always worked for me with pills, and sometimes a small piece of banana, folded around the pill like a taco.
