We brought home our new puppy yesterday!

When Zak was a puppy I took him to Lowes a lot, first carrying him then he walked, good place to see lots of people and hear lots of noises. Shopping centers are good too. I did go to the library but no one ever stopped to visit. Go visit friends if they will let you bring her along.
She is adorable and your daughter looks so happy. I love tri's, I have two.

What a couple of cuties! I am sure she will settle in and getting out lots of places will help with the socialization. She has that little mischevious spark in her eye...I have a tri too! They look like they have similar markings

CeCe is doing well so far. She started basic obedience class a couple of weeks ago, and after 2 sessions, she seems to be picking up commands fairly quickly. Our only problem so far has been with the come command. She is so hesitant when she approaches us, and often turns and runs in the opposite direction. Not sure how to handle this. The trainer suggested keeping the leash attached and letting her drag it around the house, treating every time she responds to "come" and stepping on the leash to stop her when she doesn't. She definitely seems to like the Havanese more than people though.

When you figure out what she loves most of all use that for her treat when she comes (maybe the Havanese ) She'll get there...Shelties are so smart, I have figured out the learning is 20% training Mystique and 80% training ME.
