I've been lurking here for a few weeks and you all seem like a great bunch of people to be a part of.

My 9 month old blue merle and I live in west central Alabama. After losing my 17 year old Polish Lowland Sheepdog and vowing never to have another dog at my age (76) - (you know how that goes!) and admiring several friends Shelties, I found my then 4 month old beauty, Blithe Spirit.

He certainly has done his best to keep me active and sometimes I think I've bitten off more than I can chew. Hmmm. Chew. Now that's a word I've had to use frequently, and not in the best light. Seems he really like rugs and the carpet. It's a good thing I really love him.

I look forward to getting to know you all and finding answers to what I'm sure will be many questions.
 
Welcome -- Shelties are wonderful for "vintage" dog lovers! I used to live in Montgomery:)
 
Welcome to the forum. This is a great group of people who really know Shelties and they are more than willing to help when they are ask. There is a tremdious amount of valuable information here.
 
Welcome, there is indeed a lot of knowledge here and we are all happy to share. Glad you have a Sheltie boy to love and dote on. We do love pictures!

There are a number of southern members - Sheep of Blue is in Alabama. We California members are very spread out, unfortunately!
 
Welcome ! We love puppy stories and pictures as you know since you've been a lurker. We had some rug chewing and even a few teeth marks on the woodwork when Sally was going through that stage. Fortunately for us it was just a stage.:yes:
