Where's my coat?!

My Lilly is 16 months right now and her coat looks like it's in the same state as your handsome man's! I can't wait for that gorgeous adult coat to come in. I love the massive amounts of hair!

Be forewarned, you may never get it. Genetics plays a part....and don't forget that the pictures that you see....these are dogs that have groomed for show.....hours of work. With chalk and conditioners and etc.

I wouldn't get warped over it. As long as you feed the dog healthy foods and groom regularly....the rest is nature.

From what I have seen here, and have read shelties coats can grow from 3-5 years old. Lucky finished a full coat at 3, Lil' Lady at 5. It sure is in the genes, Lucky is the spitting image of his father and his coat with the Barwood line, silky. Lil' Lady is also like her father in looks and coat.

Believe me enjoy these days, your pup is gorgeous. Right now the brushing is very often because of the shedding. Jaws the sweeper has been working over-time. The tools that I have looks like a salon. I think we are moving to the end of the tumble weeds. Yippppeeee!
