Who's Going to Westminster?

Made It

All trains cancelled, so Friday morning at work, I made a command decision. I called DS to tell her we're driving up. I raced home, packed, and off we went. We hit snow and ice 30 miles out fromNYC, but we went carefully and made it to the Big Aple safe and sound. Westminsternor Bust!

Lightplum, see you and Noah on Monday! :biggrin2:

Yes see you there...I am leaving some time tomorrow heading to Missjenneygirls and than to Anns house and all with 30+ inches of snow on the ground...Change in plans on the car I was taking..instead of my spacious van we are cramming everything in the jeep 3 people 5 dogs, crates, grooming stuff and a little room for clothes!!!! eek we had a brief moment yesterday at the height of the storm where we looked at each other and said are we going??? I went to work this am travel was difficult but not impossible so off we go!!! what we dont do for a show lol

Husband, Kevin, came off of storm duty in Stamford, and traveled up I-95. There was only one lane plowed and he said they went about 25 mph. There were a lot of cars stuck on the highway. He parked his car in a parking lot, down at the bottom of the big hill that is the road before ours. He hiked up and then when he got to our road, we were not plowed. He shocked me when I saw his face at the sliding glass doors. I thought he was staying in Stamford, since the roads were closed in Connecticut.
I mention this only to pass on the Linda, to be safe tomorrow, and take your time.

thanks for the update...roads here were slightly better coming home from work than when I went in at 11 this morning...so im hopeful they will be working tonight and tomorrow am and hopefully making some more progress...if not it is what it is and we'll deal somehow!:smile2:

If it makes you feel any better, the road off the highway to mine is a main state road and is well plowed. I live two miles up a mountain so they plow our road like crazy and it's perfectly clear. So we know you can get here!

Be safe tomorrow and take it easy. New York isn't going anywhere! :smile2:

Yes we made it. Only took us 7hrs. Lmao. It was the running joke in the car as we finally made it to ny! Made a stop off at missjennygirl house to beautifully trim and touch up Noah. Left there the road was closed. Eek slight detour. Made it to Ann's house. Dropped off puppies. Bless Ann she's going to need drink by tues with that crew I left her. Lol. Made it to the hotel penn first room looked like a cover ad to the state penn cell block. My aunt bless her took matters into her own hands and got us moved to a nice room !!! Tons of dogs here and people. And Noah is being a very good ambassador to the breed and handing out kisses and tail wags!!! See you in the am Chris!!!
Ohh and on the brightest moment of the trip we got to the piers to unload and surprise it's SPACIOUS!!!!!!!!! Three of us are sharing a large bench!!!!!!hooray!!!!! For space!!!
