Kelly is reading every post I would imagine to make certain we are behaving ourselves.
That's exactly what she is doing along with Ann and myself. It's hard esp. when you check it at 5:00 in th evening and come back in the morning to 27 or 30 threads that need to be read with lots of replies to each thread!! Depending on the thread I will scan through things just to make sure no one is being snippey!
Although, I think we've been really, really good about being 'nice' and polite here! (other than only a couple of incidents way back, we've all been behaving ourselves

I never though *I* would be the topic of a thread. LOL It is fun to sit back & watch the show...but I do wish I had more time to participate in the discussions as a "member" & not the "moderator".
Between my full time job, 3 Shelties, 2 horses, 61 chickens & 2 sheep (and a husband!
) I don't have as much time to devote to participating in the site as much as I'd like. I struggle to make enough time to keep Sheltie Nation running with at least a post a day, so monitoring the forums is even harder. I realized I was in over my head pretty quick as the forum grew, so I'm grateful that Ann & Shaun have been my extra eyes & ears!I do have to say that you all are a well behaved bunch over here. I worried for a while when things were starting to get tense. (I began to wonder what the heck I got myself into!)
Whenever I want to throw in the towel, have to deal with complaints or doubt that people enjoy what I'm trying to do, I just look down at my feet. I'm so thankful to have my pups...especially Trevor, who has been a guiding light in my life. He is such a special dog. I wish everyone could experience the joy & the same kind of bond I have with him.
I just knew there were other awesome Sheltie folks out there!!!
Now...if everyone who is registered would just become a Premium Member, I could spend A LOT more time working on it!

Kelly, you've done a great job of creating a fun, interesting framework for sheltie fanatics to hang out in. You've also been very lucky to attract such a well balanced group of people (except for me, of course). I've seen many potentially good discussion forums waste away due to poor or contentious participation. That's certainly not a problem here.

And if all our Lurkers (of whom we know there are many!) would just become members...and then premium members...and everyone would remember to shop Amazon through Sheltie Nation... Kelly might even be able to put her feet up once a year or so and enjoy the Forum!
