It is just over a year since Yogi changed career from a show dog to an obedience dog and today he competed in the Tryers Class at another Companion show. There was an entry of 25 and the standard was high but after a run off against a border collie, Yogi was placed 1st!!
He also worked the higher class and was 8th out of 28. Had I not messed up his recall causing him to anticipate he would have been placed there too.
So proud of my little man and it just goes to show that it is possible to switch from conformation to performance. It isn't very common here for dogs to participate in more than one discpline which is a pity as there is no reason show dogs shouldn't use their brains.
