Zephyr does not cuddle.

Miko wants to cuddle for about 27 seconds and then he's on his way. He can hardly sit still long enough to get comfy before he's moving around. I've noticed that lately (just the past couple of weeks) he's a little more calm when being petted (it used to be ALL excitement All the time)... but lately he'll sit still and calm and enjoy the scratches and rubs. I'm hoping that this is the beginning of the road to cuddling! :biggrin2:

I am with Caro!
Poor Toffee never had a choice, lol
I didn't know Shelties don't cuddle :biggrin2:

Also he is jealous of the cats, when I pay attention to boss kitty in my lap, he gets feisty

My past shelties liked to cuddle, but not on my lap. I would sit on the couch and the shelties would lie next to me with their head on my lap. Buddy, my current boy doesn't seem to be much of a cuddler, but I sit in a recliner now, so he can't lie next to me. I broke my hip a couple of years ago, and suddenly Buddy was on my lap the whole time. It took two surgeries and almost a year to heal, but he stayed on my lap until I could walk again. Now I have to bribe him with a treat to get him on my lap again. But, at least he was there for me when I needed him most.

Sounds like Buddy was very sensitive to your situation. And he took it upon himself to help you get better, and did not want to budge until you were.
What a sweet boy!

It must be a sheltie thing then

It's no wonder Buddha isn't much of a cuddler, yet : D At night, he'll try and sleep above our heads on the pillows. Or lay at our feet. But he doesn't stay for more than a minute if you try to fix him right next to you. He loves to get belly rubs and get picked up like a gigantic heavy baby. But he is still a puppy now, so I think that if we keep trying to cuddle with him perhaps by the age of 2 he will have converted haha
