I have a male, and a female dog. I do tend to call dogs "he" if i dont ask first. people call aztec a she all the time...but laika gets called a male much more often! my brother calls dogs its :rolleyes2: i'd rather them be called the wrong gender than "it".

I am in very central Columbus. If nothing works out I can see if I can take him, or if Precious Secrets can't find a foster I might be able to sign up to foster him through their program. That way you could keep tabs on what he was up to, while I had him anyways..

I am not sure if you have officially surrendered him to Precious Secrets or not. But I wanted to say that, depending on where you live in Ohio, I may be able to take him, train him, and rehome him. I have done that in the past with a jack russell mix.

I hate when breeders breed down dogs on purpose. It actually really irritates me. Aztec's sister was incredibly tiny...(about 10lbs) but both her parents were standard size. So it was hardly the breeder aiming for that.

Azzy only snuggles with me. Infact, he is in my lap at this very moment! He used to try to snuggle with Laika, but she is far too crabby to allow it :lol:

I didn't read this entire thread. But I wanted to say that my mom knew a man that had MINIATURE collies. No, not shelties. They were collies that were small. I am unsure whether they were truly shelties crossed with collies, or if they were collies that were bred down in size. They did not...

Caro- Aztec does the exact same thing. Down to the spin. He hates when we leave, and will nip us if we don't get out fast enough. Insanity! He is the most bizarre when my sister leaves. And he only acts like this when we go out the back door. Side and front door he could care less.
