Thank you! Dora is an Apple acres girl too. Her sire was CH Apple acres Best Man and her dam is Apple Acres Spring Bloom. She is an Armani granddaughter on both sides. So we really hope to get a litter of puppies someday, but I can wait.
It sounds like a good learning environment for us. I'm trying to decide who to venture out with just for fun. My daughter's little bibue boy, Duke, will probably be our first 'guinea pig'. He is awesome puppy. His sire is an Am/C Ch. We can learn together.
Oh well ... There doesn't appear to be any puppies
I guess with all the stress from her adjusting to her move, the breeding didn't take. We will probably try agin in a few months. In the meantime, I will just keep spoiling her rotten.
She had 2 litters before we got her. There was 7 puppies in each litter. She was bred to Am/C CH Apple Acres Associated Press this time. I'm hopeful that she is pregnant, but if she is I will be surprised if it is that many pups. I think there was 4 blue Merles in her last litter. I would love...
We are in South Central Virginia.I think we are going to delve into the UKC conformation ring soon. We are not ready for AKC, but are thinking that with the more relaxed atmosphere we might start wading in a bit. Are any of you in our region? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
I've been MIA for the past few weeks. My mother-in-law has been in the hospital (then nursing home), grandbaby was in PICU at the same time with RSV, then 12 year old son broke his arm playing baseball.
My sheltie babies are doing great though! Dora (Lochmere's Isadorable) has quickly become...
I think she spent most of her life in a kennel, but she is adjusting much better today. She loves sleeping on my bed. I think she will adjust. It's just going to take her some time. She is confused. Housebreaking was easy though. She had one accident inside on Sunday, and has went outside every...
There are definitely good breeders that kennel their dogs. Their dogs get attention and are very much loved. I didn't mean to suggest that all kennel experiences are bad. A good breeder gives their dogs the attention they need, and I'm sure your dogs are well taken care of. I just know that my...
She is doing much better today. She has taken over my recliner...so I guess I'm exiled to the couch. She is still being very picky about her food (refusing to eat her normal food). I think she may be turning into a diva! She seems to be enjoying her cheese omelettes, yogurt, and chicken a bit...
I definitely have no show experience, but hope to in the next few years... but from the breeders I've met, there seems to be a wide variety of ideas. As well as good versus bad show breeders. Personally, I would never show if my dogs couldn't be part of the family. We have outdoor exercise pens...
