So, what do you all think about picking a new date, so maybe Danielle and Ashley could attend? Maybe a day in early Sept?

I would be down for a new date - having each other there is a huge part of what would make a meetup fun, so I think it's smart to find a date that maximizes the number of people who can attend.
Plus, early September would just be a lovely time of year!

Sure....would you believe that I already have my calendar full for the weekends of September 10th and 24th.
The Sheltie Rescue picnic is October 9th.

I didn't realize that. Sorry, I was looking at a work calendar and holidays aren't listed.
Sept. 17th works for me too.

I really hate to say this, but it doesn't look like we'll be able to make it after all.
We'd planned on taking three trips this year, but we were looking into our finances and with gas prices being what they are, I think we're going to have to keep it down to two trips. The northeast meet up is just too far for us and we can't afford the hotel.

Honestly, I can't make any long term vacation decisions right now because I don't know what my job will be like (knock on wood that I'll have a job by then!) as far as taking days off.
I would think that I could take a Friday off, but I can't say for sure. Labor day weekend would probably be good since it's a holiday...any holidays would be good for us.
