A continuing Sca-ga

The Iron Fist of Mom:

So I have been working extra (new hours) and getting the motorhome running. So I have been over to Mom and Dad's at night and since it was dry I brought Sca and he went in his vacation house's back yard while me and dad did brakes. Last night I came into the house and he was looking in the back door. Mom says "do you want to let him in". I answered she is going to tolerate him since I was headed back out, her choice. Next time through same thing, but she says let him in. Well he is happy to see me but I head back outside. Next time I come in they are having a stare down  he is thinking he needs to jump up and mom is thinking he needs to behave.... Mom won

Later I came in and he got to climb on me and the tail was at 1000MPH :biggrin2:

Sheltie power wins! Sca was at his vacation house while I had trees removed today and FINALLY got Bear the cranky Shiztu to play :eek2: He ran with Bear, two bad dogs next door and Rascal the long haired Dashhound. And is still going on and on tonight. He was a chicken though when he saw the stump and had to creep up on it.

I'm betting on Sca in the long run -- Mom'll get to love him, and the crsnky dogs will keep loving the play. But you can tell his heart belongs to Dad!

Sca has the stamina of a Mother.. so maybe he can do it, LOL
Nope he has no chance against Mom. She will be his buddy and controller of food but her rules are THE rules  My last dog made a Sheltie look calm and he soon learned not to mess with the Mom.

Actually for a pup Sca is fairly calm and well behaved according to people he meets (he saves his rough housing and trouble making for me)

Bailey is the same way! My friends think I'm crazy. I always tell them how wild and crazy she is, but every time they come over, Bailey puts on a show. She's calm, sweet and just lays in her bed. They think I just make it all up to tarnish her image.

Isn't this how we want our children to behave. If they are going to be crazy, do it in the privacy of your own home and family. My mom always said we better behave in public!

I cannot count the times I would remind my boys..please have your manners when you are in public,or at friends houses.

It's " yes mame" or "no sir" & don't forget to say thank you! And no first name basis..its either Mr. or Mrs,unless they were told differantly~

Same with mine, people think shelties are such quiet, friendly dogs when they meet mine. But then most of them dont hang around for more than 5min - that's about how long my two can hold their angelic poses for. As long as no trucks, motorcycles, planes or scooters go by.

Actually Sca can maintain a long while but he loves to wrestle and attack me :biggrin2:

Oh and he has a new thing that I need to get on video. I block the bedrooms and bathrooms with a kids gate to keep him where I can watch him. Also he loves to nose surf for kleenex and trash in the bathrooms. Well then there is socks... y'all get the picture. Well now I need to close the doors since he has figured out how to open the gate by sliding it with his nose.
