Agility Titles and your AKC name

Never try doing a search with AKC or Titles in the Agility forum. LOL. So many things came back.

Anyhow. I was wondering. Do titles automatically get put on the AKC name?
i.e. Let's say you just got your novice title in Standard in AKC. Do you have to tell AKC? Or does the hosting club do it?

What about NADAC titles? I'm just curious to know at what point will Koji have a title behind his AKC name. It's just so cool to see. :) Granted, I can write whatever I want, but you know what I mean. I love his ribbons, I will love his titles even more (only cuz I'm so proud of us, hehehe).
 
AKC will automatically add AKC titles to your dog's name. You have to give them a little time to catch up, but once you get your official certificate in the mail, you can start putting that new title after his name when you fill out your entry forms!

Non-AKC titles, like NADAC, Canadian, UKC, etc. titles aren't included in AKC event catalogs, nor does the AKC's CGC designation ("CGC" is considered a certificate, not a title). However, in any advertisements, webpages, Forum signatures, etc. you can include every one of your dog's titles.

Here's an example: my dog Mark was a Canadian champion, American champion, Register of Merit sire in Canada, and certified therapy dog. So, I could write his name "AM/CAN Ch. Cindahope Trade Mark, TD, ROMC" in an advertisement. However, at any AKC show he was entered at, his name would appear as "Ch. Cindahope Trade Mark". (Register of Merit is a title offered by a breed's parent club, so even an American ROM doesn't show up in an AKC catalog.)
 
another example. Millenium's Scotch & Chocolate CD CGC SDIT CD for Companion Dog title(a real AKC title, CGC for Canine Good Citizen, and SDIT for Service Dog in Training(A New York designation that allows us to pretty much go anywhere we want. Not sure how other states handle SDIT's)

Ah......so that means I need to change venues for some "real" titles. Well, some AKC titles. hehehe.

But until then, once I get some titles, I will have to show them off here.

Your lucky, we have to pay for our titles to be recorded (about $20). Our ANKC will recognise titles for ANKC trials and for other organisations recognised by the ANKC (specifically flyball).

Definately go for the Sheltie trials, I have got one in May and am soooooo looking forward to it!

According to the premium, $3 of the $20 per day run (I guess you can run 1 or all 4 and still pay the $20) goes towards recording. By the time I get any titles, it may well be over $20, lol.
