Amanda and Smiling Sunny say HELLO!

Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new sheltie girl.

As others have mentioned, expect 2-3 years until you see the full coat. Additionally, intact females "blow" their coat (i.e. lose a LOT of the undercoat) each time they go into heat. In general, males have heavier coats.

Welcome!
Attention span at 6 months old is very short and distractability level is very high, so it would be hard to expect good reliable recall until pup is much older, keep at it and you will get results...
and to satisfy my curiosity why would you want to breed your dog? Are you planning to show your girl in conformation?

Hehe, I actually explained that in another forum. It is in the breeding forum under "breeding questions" if you would like to know :)
