Yes, the second edition is due to come out 'soon'. I've been on a waiting list for 4 months now. Hopefully sometime this spring!:rolleyes2: Both my sheltie's breeders and other breeders I've talked with, they all strongly recommend this book!

Maybe I got an old edition or something, but I ordered mine through Amazon about two weeks ago and got it right away. :confused2:
 
Yes, that would be the first edition. I'm on the waiting list with the publisher for the new second edition. I really want this book so I really hope that they print the new edition very soon!:rolleyes2:

Oh, lovely. I just spent $33 on an old edition. Oh well, I needed the information!
 
$33 is not so bad, so don't worry!!:winkgrin: I think the new edition will be much more than that, especially if it comes out in hard cover first! :eek2: and like I said, it keeps getting postponed! Chinook and Maia will be seniors at this rate!
 
Hello: Your puppy is just gorgeous! Hope I can find one as cute as that. You'll learn a lot here and the people are great. I have an old copy of "Sheltie Talk" too. There is so much information in them. I'd like to get the new one, when it finally comes out. I think it's probably better to have the old one that nothing at all though.

I paid $40 including shipping! For used! Ah, well, apparently the book was well loved!
 
the info in it is invaluable even if it is older!! Its a wealth of infomation and useful infomation at that! I am interested to see what the differences are between the old one and new.....Maybe they will have it out intime to sell at the nationals? ahhh one can hope :)

I was extremely interested to see all the photos of Shelties that were from the Kismet and Banchory lines--which is what Ellie's petigree is!
