It's not T's passion, nor mine, lol... BUT we are having a little progress on some disc drive... and for tracking a disc in the air... not that we are a trick disc dog kinda team, lol
But a lot of my friends are into it and I thought I could see what we can come up with...
I am not sure if Michelle is still doing some with Trapp?

anyhow we had a little fun on Canada Day... thought I'd share...
maybe I keep going and dabble a bit more in it. It is fun, I need to get a better disc tho

He looks great!

If I had more time, I'd do disc with Lexi. She's great at it and has a lot of drive for it (that and everything else )

Sally likes playing disc- me too !!So does Toffee. Man, that beach is so wonderful looking...
Awww, thank you, Toffee is more ball crazy than Frisbee, but apparently it does in a pinch!!? I jsut keep trying to get him more interested in it, and it seems to start to take a little!

oh, I LOVE it at that beach, it is well worth an hours drive. It's 5 km of sand beach... so even on a super busy day like Canada Day the crowd gets totally lost if you just walk away from the patrolled swimming area... . It's popular with all kinds of surfers, too. I love that even tho it's supossed to be on-leash provincial park, nobody cares nor enforces it, especially as long as your dog isn't a nuisance. That's pretty much what it is around here anywhere :fl
(but it can be darn cold, even in July, lol)

Doesn't cost a thing, just the gas to get here :D

Trapp lives for the disc..
We are working on some ground tricks with him, like jumping over me,and thru the legs with a "go around".

It really is loads of fun if the dog really gets it. Trapp totally anticipates me throwing,he is looking up & makeing good judgement on his jumps to catch.
Its been so dang hot here, but once things calm down after the gathering we will start working again at it.
Its funny,we would not toss for a month, and he picks right up with whatever he has been taught, like it was yesterday.
Have fun with it. Like I said once they get the idea, and the drive to chase it and most of all get it in thier mouth, they are so happy!

In a follow up,I will try to find the site that I order Trapp's disc's from. A good disc, makes the world of differance in flight.
And they really are well balanced even for the novice dog & thrower. Well worth the ordering fro them.
I do lots of times get thier "blems"..which are discs that the print on them did not turn out 100%,but it does'nt make a differance in the disc itself.
If you decide to order, talk to them, and ask about thier "blems",as they often have really good buys on them.

Riley is more ball crazy than disc crazy, but ever since we got him a flying squirrel disc he has been loving it!! I think his issue with it was that he has not figured out how to pick up a normal disc

I had started throwing the disc upside down to get him interested in it or rolling it on the floor for him to chase.

Are the frisbees hard? Like, what if the dog doesn't get it just right and smacks him in the head?

Koji does a lot of those great twists I see disc dogs do, but he sucks at catching it. LOL.
