Sadly, my internet connect doesn't have enough bandwidth to upload video clips. Otherwise, I'd show you all Beckon vacuuming the living room, Layla doing the ironing, Bits washing the windows, and Annie Laurie wallpapering the bathroom.

What smart dogs you have. We will take your word on it :wink2:

And Dani, I love the variety of tricks! Just curious, how did you teach the sneeze? I wouldn't even know how to do that!

We shaped it. Chloe sneezes when she gets really excited, so we would get her all worked up and then when it looked like she was going to sneeze we would say sneeze, then mark and treat when she did it. Eventually, she understood what we were doing and now we just have to say, "Chloe sneeze", and she does it. She catches onto things very quickly. We also got her to sneeze and then wipe her nose. I will try and tape that over the weekend. It's cute. We taught wipe your nose by sticking a piece of tape on her nose and when she went to wipe it off, we would say "wipe your nose" and then mark and treat when she pawed at her nose. That one was quick to pick up as well. For Dandie on the closing drawers, that was just a target trick as well as Chloe with the bell. We first had them target the items and then moved it to the actually trick. We use target for paws and touch for nose.

Wow, everyones videos were great! I so enjoyed them. I don't guess I will put my puppy Blysse up there yet. It would be boring to everyone. lol She will sit. Almost got the lay down part. She picked up on the sit pretty fast. As I looked at all of your videos, I wondered, how do you all ever start to train them to do those kind of tricks. I really need a lesson.

Most of our tricks are done by teaching them the basics of shaping. You can google shaping....it is a very common way of training.
