Cali's favorite herding toy!

She is clearly having a BLAST! Isn't it fun to watch them enjoy themselves like that? And it's a great workout ;)

My girl loves those balls, too. She popped her first one the other day and she was so confused. She kept nudging the empty shell, it was so sad!

I attached a picture of Lexi having fun.

Love the video. Hollie used to herd the ball just like that too. Shelby on the other hand just doesn't get it. She just likes to run and jump over the ball. She also likes to teater on top of the ball (with the ball under her belly). Her favorite thing to herd are bugs!

Every once in a while she will get a little wild and end up on top of the ball and ends up tumbling a few times!

That was awesome!!!! I'm getting one tomorrow. You let the air out of them and store them. Are they beach balls? I thought it was a hard plastic ball by watching the video. But admittedly, I was watching that beautiful Sheltie much more than the ball!

They are not beach balls but I am not really sure what they would be considered either lol. They are a pretty thick rubber and most if the time last forever but every once in a while she will catch a tooth on them and they are ready for the trash lol!

Cali did the same on her first popped one! Now she immediately gives up and gives that look like.. "next!"

It is a excellent workout that is for sure! If we don't tell her to take a break she will make herself sick pushing it around!

THAT'S just too cute
Really does it like a pro!
Have you ever looked up Treibball?
It's a great sport, you got a natural there. I can't believe Cali brings the ball back by pushing it towards you, very naturally!!
just sooo cute

Never heard of it but I will definitely check it out! Thank you!

Awwwwwww poor Lexi! Must have been a sad and confusing moment for her to see her ball-friend deflate and refuse to play with her :wink2::o

Ok, then it is the kind of ball I initially thought. Didn't make it out for one yesterday but I will today!!! Especially now that I know what kind to get for sure!

Acie loves doing this too! We found out about this on an accident! My 12 year old son just happened to play ball one day, Acie ran and nosed the ball up and chased it and nosed it around. My son did it again, Acie did the same thing. He came and got me, and I watched. It was fun watching Acie doing it. Every time Acie sees a ball, she gets all excited and her whole body starts wiggling and shaking and going in circles til we throw it and she runs after it. And my goodness, she jumps high nosing the ball! I never knew a sheltie could jump high. She's only 5 months old, and did not think she could jump that high yet! But WOW!! She continues to amaze me every day! The best breed I've owned hands down! I now most definitely am going to stick to the sheltie breed! She takes something so simple and makes it into having so much fun!! Wish my children were that simple too, rather than the electronics the kids are into nowadays!!

Cali also likes when I toss the ball to her and she will jump and bounce it back to me with her nose! It usually ends up with me climbing fences or scouring the garage to get it back off of the roof so we tend to keep it on the ground.now!

Alrighty! I now have 2 of these balls. So far the hubby and I have been playing with them. Rascal gave it a nudge (kind of by accident) one time and then went after it. One time.

Casey and Max just look at it.

Any suggestions on how to get them to play with it?

They're very food motivated but I am not a good trainer with anything. :o
