Christmas puppy

How horrible for the dtr and the poor poor puppy! She will never forget especially since it happened over the holidays! We have a lot of backyard breeding of Pitbulls with people in parking lots trying to sell them. I want to scream every time I see them. Hope your friend and her dtr hearts heal soon.

That is terrible Michelle.:( I just don't get why people buy pups like this. But then again I don't agree with giving pups as Christmas presents and often breeders won't sell at this time of year because they don't want their dogs being given as gifts.

I hope Robin goes to a proper breeder next time. She should not consider a pup from this woman as, more than likely, it will lead to far more heartache.

Why wait until she is on the corner again? If you have legal ground, turn her in now. I suspect that she won't be out on the corner selling puppies this spring, since her property is infected as well.

I'm sorry for your friend, but she obviously didn't think it through. Hopefully she will learn from this experience. She would have been better off getting a dog from the shelter. Funny how people will research before they drop $800 on a TV, but will buy a puppy off the corner.

You are so right! If she didn't have a vendor's license that is a plus to keep her off the street corner to sell anything. So sad for the family, especially her daughter. Christmas not to remember.

That is absolutely terrible. I just can't understand why people would allow an infection like that to spread :( How cruel.

I think the main reason why people buy on street corners/petshops/backyard breeders/puppy mills/internet ads, is that many shelters and good breeders have increadibly high standards to meet in order to purchase/adopt as well as home visits, credit checks, etc. (which IMHO can be necessary).

Unfortunately, it does seem much easier, and far more private, to just buy a dog from a street corner/backyard, etc.

Sort of a very terrible catch-22 I guess?

As for your friend, I would definitly NOT recommend that she make any more deals with this street corner puppy mill pimp, as I'm sure it would only be cause for more heartbreak for her and her daughter.
