hi all I will be getting pick of the litter...I'm looking at the 1 of 2 males right now but i'm trying to figure out what colors they are. They're 1 month old on the 24th.I'm thinking the darker is a mahogony sable, he was born black + wh no brown...he also has white spots on his nose. The merle im thinking blue, but it looks sable merle on 1 side? What do you think their colors are?And which do you like better?

Sable puppy looks like dark sable (sable tri-factored) no merles. I don't have idea that he will be mahogany when his coat will be matured. Maybe?
Merles puppy... hmm. I don't know. I want see more pics...
Pics of first merle isn't good quality. Maby it's silvery blue puppy but yellow colours may be the result of bad lighting.

heres a few more of the merle nothings real good quality but the brownie yellow is there...inside and outside pics you can really notice it in the litter pic,the 2 girls are quite blue like his 1 side but you can see the tan down his back. These are what i have but can get her to send me more.....

First of all, your current sheltie is adorable! What a sweet face.

The sable pup definitely looks tri factored. My Meggie is such and she is a beautiful girl.

I don't know anything about merles. I didn't realize you could have a sable merle. He looks awesome. I don't know why, but I really love the merles and hope to own one some day. I would go for that one, although they are both precious. The merles are less common and so unique looking to me.

I like the darker male the first. But I f I were getting the pick of this litter I would go female and get one of the blue Merles!! I love Blue merles ! I think it's because of my attachment to my first Sheltie Jewel who was a Blue Merle.

Cute puppies!

Not sure if BOTH of those males aren't sable merles. I'd watch the darker one to see if any taupe patches come and go as the coat comes in. My Emma is a sable merle but now that she is grown you'd never know that she wasn't a shaded sable. She had grey-taupe patches that would appear and disappear at her shoulders as her puppy coat developed.

I'm not sure about the blue boy. Propably he is sable merle but in other way he may be blue merle with faults color -> rustiness.
In my humble opinion you should watching this puppy (has a nice, promising head). In my type is dark sable pup...

Well, I usually just let the puppy pick me--as long as they seem to be my type. Pesonally, I liked the bi-blues best, but this something only you can decide. Which one gets you in the heart?

The brownie/Yellow one, the yellow coloring reminds me of a sable merle, however the darker circles are throwing me off a bit. making him look more like a blue merle....hmmmm

sure looks like a sable merle- especially next to the blue girls. that would be my choice as I also love merles and blues are so much more common. of course, my goal is to own every color someday........ :wink2:
