I'm sorry that your boy had to go through this extra surgery as my boy did. But in my case, I knew when I picked up Bacca that this was an issue. And thank you for perhaps recognizing that you ended up in this space because you chose A BYB without knowing better.

I can't say enough times....please do your homework and know who you are getting your pups from. BYB or Puppy Mill can be very deceiving sometimes. I also suggest you avoid Kiijjii or Craigs List. That is were I go to buy used furniture....not a pet. These websites sometimes seem on the up, but mostly not so.

That's not to say you can't get a good dog this way, but it is buyer beweare.

im curious to why you vet didnt mention this to you before the surgery so you would be better prepared for what the surgery was going to be..with that said alot of shelties are cryto. Its not uncommon unfortunately.

This. I'm shocked your vet didn't point it out to you ahead of time. That being said, sometimes vets just don't pay attention. Ruutu has an umbilical hernia, but my vet has never ever mentioned it to me, even when giving him a physical before he even had a lot of hair down there. I hope your little guy recovers fully though. Ruutu goes in to get neutured mid January.
