Do Shelties have weak stomachs?

Cleveland had the touchiest of stomachs. AND PICKY............oh my!!! He was a picky eater! and sometimes just didn't think he needed to eat at all.

McKinley..........STOMACH OF STEEL AND ALWAYS EMPTY (if you ask him).

And SheepofBlue...........I am right there with you on those lethal puppy emissions.

I have no clue how MMM could be laying on the bed, quiet and peaceful and asleep and WITHOUT TWITCHING AN EYELASH he releases this god awful foul nasty smelling emission. He doesn't even smirk afterwards.

Sca barks hurry up until I fill his bowl once I open the food bin. Then he eats it all and returns a couple more time and rattles the bowl. He has slowed down a little (he now pauses at the 90% mark) but you would think he was starved.

Callie also has to talk the whole time that I'm getting their food ready- she tries to herd me to hurry up

Recently I switched to Innova Puppy and ran a bit to low on Science Diet so the mix was about 4 to 1 but he still did pretty good. One evening he had a couple of lethal puppy farts but otherwise didn't miss a beat. So I was curious is he the rule or an exception?

Ginny was having those on Monday. She was asleep next to me when all of a sudden it smelled like something rotten. If she hadn't been the only one near me I would have thought it was someone/thing else

Sadie has had issues with diarrhea and vomiting but I still maintain that she does not have a sensitive stomach. I believe that she has low grade, chronic pancreatitis so can only handle a specific amount of fat in her diet. She can have treats on a regular basis, as long as her over all diet is the same.

Ginny's stomach doesn't seem overly sensitive either. She did throw up once when she got into Sadie's food but it wasn't that bad. Sadie's tummy was much more sensitive as a pup, we really had to watch what we gave her.

Milo, my parent's sheltie, DOES have a VERY sensitive stomach. He can have dog treats and his food but thats it. If he gets even the smallest amount of people food, even it fits a piece of plain chicken, he gets terrible diarrhea.

Sca is an eating machine. I went to Mom's to drop off a brush for her monster tonight and he would have ate Bear's entire bowl of food after eating a cup of his own food before we left if I had not put it out of reach. I gave him his first Sentinel pill tonight and unlike some who say their Sheltie doesn't like it he sucked it out of my palm and looked for more. I think he would eat 4 cups a day if I let him

Yes! Bacca is still in his "funny eating zone" These days he hides upstairs when its time to eat and won't come down. But give his bowl to him in my bedrooom, and he'll scarf it down. Yes, he's still playing with our heads.

INdy on the other hand is a nutball when it comes to food. He creates enough ruckuos for 2. Jumps, twirls, shoves.....Feed me, Feed me, Feed me! Now, now, now!Yes, yes, yes!
