does anyone feed taste of the wild brand pet foods?

I usually feed Nature's Variety, but I have a few sample packs of TOTW which Maddie loves also. Sometimes I will give her the TOTW for treats!

I feed my two Wellness, but I use Taste of the Wild salmon for a treat on top of their food. For some reason Lucky doesn't like the fish by Wellness, so I try to get what they both like. They both love the salmon by TOW. Tractor Supply just brought it into their stores.

I'm not sure why, but I always look for poultry to be the main ingredient in my pup's food - including their treats!

I guess I must have read somewhere along the line that it was easier to digest than more exotic combinations....and it just seems to be more natural a diet for dogs. Who ever heard of a domestic dog going salmon fishing or taking down a bison?????

That being said, the Horizon that I feed is loaded with salmon oils and other good stuff too.

I just bought Blue TOTW & haven't started him on it yet. It's a better price for me than some of the other grain-free brands. I'm still considering going with the Innova EVO Reduced Fat because my Blue boy needs to lose a few pounds & my local Pet Food store said that would be a good food for him, but I'm not sure.

Actually...this is the food I started switching my baby to, after the mess I just had with Natural Balance. So far so good. We will be 100%TOTW High Prairie by the beginning of next week (it has been a long transition period).

Just saw this....I am feeding TOTW Wetlands, not the High Prairie. Since we were on the potato and duck....I stuck to similar ingredients.

We are transitioning now to TOTW Pacific blend. And so far so good with Trapp. And for the first time in a long time,Earnhardt shows no qualms in looking for the tasty spoonful of wet food I had to intice him with.

Earnhardt has a stomach of steel, and really in his 5 years has only been a a very few foods. My first switch with him was a bit before we brought Trapp home,as I had plans on having both pups on the same food.So we switched to Nutro Ultra.

We needed to something in a positive direction for Earnhardt,as we had a HUGE shedding problem, and typical itchy lab skin issues. With in two weeks,we had virtually no shedding,he looked healthier, and happier. Trapp was put on Nutro puppy formula, and did wonderful~ then the recall of possible tainted packages with plastic pieces.

With the recall, what we did not know at the time, was that it only covered PetCo,Petsmart stores, and was not affecting any stores here in the south. So we were probably on the safe side.
But Brian refused (he was very adament) as he had read about issues back as far as 2005-7 with various recalls. As I was ready to go back to Nutro.

But after comparing, reading ingrediants, and looking at long term pricing,TOTW was the choice. And both pups are loving it~
