Does this breaders requirments seem controling?

Just curious, how did you handle the first year visits if the puppy's new home is farther away or did you not allow purchase outside a certain distance?

I wonder about that. If this was imposed by my breeder, I would not have been able to buy. 4 trips from NC to Ohio in a year isn't practical.....

Buying a dog under those circumstances isn't really buying a dog. It's more-or-less purchasing a license to use the dog under conditions imposed by the vendor; much like a software license. I wouldn't do it.

Yes yes yes yes!

I just read the requirements for a Canadian "performance" breeder that required vaccines, no titers accepted, and the contract was void if you feed raw.

Step away from the crazy and dodge that bullet.

im just thinking more along the lines of why are you considering another puppy? You dont seem to care for the one "your wife" brought home. You dont want to interact with her, play with her or really do anything except for be annoyed that she "dug" in your garden and then you have to hose her off with a high pressured hose..I dont know maybe im thinking outside the box here but seems like why bring another dog in when you really dont seem to care for the one your wife pushed on you..

all this in the past about 5 months ago

All this in the past. BTW, when I looked at her Facebook profile, she liked heavy rock and roll ie, iron maden, and others. I was thinking mmm wonder if she was a rebel in the earlier life.

As far as taking back the dog, yes...illegal. Police look at it from this perspective. You purchased a product from a seller. Seller did not like how you used the product and took it back and did not give cash back.

This should be a civil case ...and the breeder would have to PROVE that the dog is in danger. No owner should have to train their dog to do trucks or basic obidiance commands if it is a civil dog.

Why do you want to get a puppy from her?

Your response comment makes no sense. What does it matter what music anyone likes? That has no bearing on anything.

Why are you choosing at this time to publicly say things about the breeder of your dog? That is not wise as the person may read this. Or is that the point?

You don't even like your dog. You don't like your wife for getting this dog and making you care for it. You pressure washed your dog's feet because she dug in the garden and some human let her in the house dirty and then you put her in her crate as punishment (crates are NOT punishment!). NOTE: Animal abuse is not acceptable in any form or for any reason!

If I were the breeder and read this, I would say YOU broke the contract and deserve the dog to be taken back. Or is that what you are going for?
