Feet Smell

Hi all, just want to know if any one else's dog has bad feet smell, they smell like corn chips mixed with chinese food. I take him to the groomers once a month and after 2-3 days they smell again. can anyone give any idea's?
 
Noah used to if he got them too wet. I kept the hair trimmed between the pads and would use warm water to wash them and then dry them. This helped. I never took Noah to a groomer so I was responsible for all his grooming. This with the feet I found by trial and error.
 
Our dogs get this too. We call them fri-toes. Hehe. But they only get them about a month or so after a bath. You may want to try keeping the hair trimmed, wiping them off when they get wet, or baby wipes to see if that helps.
 
Pierre has the cutest little corn chip feet. They almost always smell like corn chips, even right after a bath. But it isn't a bad smell. It is actually used as a snuggle weapon. He can put you to sleep with the sniff of a corn chip foot.

Anyway, I second baby wipes for maintenance.
 
Sadie and Ginny both get corn chip feet, but its not a smell thats ever bothered me much and we really don't smell it unless a stray paw makes its way close to our faces.

Baby wipes are a great invention for all things sheltie related. I use them for all kinds of sheltie related things, feet, face, ears, pants, etc. They're great for getting rid of bad smells and oily substances.
 
Baby powder on the feet and in between the toes.

But tbh, they don't bother me. It's not a very offensive smell at all unless it's time for a bath and they've been in mud.
 
I always said they smelled like doritos. :lol:

The smell doesn't bother me. I don't normally smell Bailey's feet, unless she steps on my face...which does happen when I'm trying to nap.
