Happy New Year to All!
First, as a new member, I am so extremely impressed with all of your knowledge and love of shelties. We have never had a sheltie before. Finding Aria on September 30th, has been a blessing to us. She is loved greatly. She is doing very well adjusting to us and other family members. But we have so many inquires such as:
1. She has begun throwing up small amounts of food. She has only done it three times and it is not a consistent pattern. We are feeding her Hill's Science Diet. If this is not good for her, please tell me.
2. She is not an extreme barker. She has learned "go for a ride" and "go for a walk" very well. We have a lake nearby that she adores, and sometimes she runs to the car but lately she runs back to her bed. I won't pick her up if she is in her bed, but I will if she runs to the chair. When I put her in the car, she shakes. She does not go in the car at night because she shakes so violently and stares at the back of the seat. We believe someone dropped her off at night outside of her normal area. We have a thundershirt coming today to see if that will help.
She loves to walk, but when she sees home, she pulls on the leash and just wishes to get home fast.
3. She is a sweet girl. We are wondering how old she is. If chewing is a sign, she chews when we are gone. She is rarely left alone longer than four hours at a time and can hold her bladder for that amount of time. Any ideas?
I am going to attempt to post her picture for all of you to be able to meet our sweet girl. Again, thank you so very much for all of your help!
