Good ideas for puppy toys

When we decided to get a girl, I went out and bought pink collar, leash, and a pink piggy with rope arms. I picked the name Annabelle on the way to pick her up. So no, I don't think you are crazy.

Now, Annabelle and her daughters will choose pink when given a choice. All three LOVE any stuffed toys with squeakers. If there isn't a squeaker, then their favorites are any stuffed toy with skinny arms or legs that they can tug with. Tara has to carry a toy to bed, but the bed toys tend to be larger. I walked into my bedroom one day, and Tara had put one of her toys to bed. She had arranged it in her doggie bed. She kills me sometimes.

The one thing they all have in common is that they all completely ignore anything made of rubber or plastic.

Our Rosie 'babies ' her toys too! But she will not rest till anything that is plastic and squeaky is destroyed! Then she leaves it . Tuppence, Jacks and Rosie all love softies and jacks loves softies that squeak. Jacks also likes to steal all the toys and put them in his crate, once the pile was so big he couldn't get in the door!

Riley loves elk antlers. They can be expensive but ocasionally groupon will have a deal on BuckyBites alk antlers. He also likes a tug toy I made by braiding polar fleece strips.

I use Petsafe Busy Buddy toys for feeding to give him a challenge once in a while. He has the Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble and Busy Buddy Waggle Dog toy.

He also has a lot of squeaky stuffed toys and nylabones. He is not crazy about nylabone.

I would hold off on antlers for now. I don't advise them for puppies.

One thing you need to consider....puppies like to exercise their jaws, especially while they are teething. I personally love this product. It is made from a fire hose material, so super durable (though watch the stiching at the ends). It's squishy which means that it exercises their jaw muscles and it squeaks for added fun. And it makes for a great fetch toy as well.

Beau loves anything he can put in his mouth! Stuffed toys only last if they don't have any hard parts he can chew at & I cut the labels off because he tends to get fixated on one spot of a toy and chew, chew and chew at it.
He likes his Kong a lot but at night he is up chewing on his Nylabone, I have to sleep with it in my bed
He thinks it's fun to drop the bone off the bed during the night as well (it's very hard plastic so hitting the hardwood makes a really loud bang)

yes no kidding. goes after my fingers

I have gotten tired of it, so when he wants to bite on my fingers, I give them the a okay symbol that usually results in a snap of the index finger held by the thumb on his nose and may be a little painful. But now he gets it when I make that symbol and he backs off.

Our toes and fingers are a favorite...which is hardly allowable but he doesn't quite remember that fact.

Truth is, as long as our pup has lots of options, he is happy. His 2.5 seconds of attention span drives him from one two to another quicker than you can blink. So we load him up with about 4 different stuffed toys to jump to.
