Gypsy's test results are not good

Words fail me, Dawn. You have been through so much with your dogs. I feel so badly for you and Gypsy. I'll be praying that her kidneys improve enough to give her better health and you more time. You are both in my thoughts.

Saying extra prayers for you Dawn.you have endured so very much this past year. I know we talk every day,but do know that Brian & I are always here,any time day or night.,

Love you,kiss Miss Gypsy for us

Dawn, I'm so sorry to hear that Gyspy's numbers are getting worse. I am sending thoughts and prayers that Gyspy is comfortable and that you have more time with her.

It's a little bit like the AA Serenity prayer:

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

I could not change either of their deaths, but I could change how I dealt with it going forward.

The one thing that this prayer does not speak to is how to find the strength to carry on. For that, you have to dive deep into yourself. And you have to determine that those deaths are not your death. You still have a life to carry on for yourself and others still with you. And you have to reconfirm that you are yourself; and not defined by others. Their death, does not mean a death of yourself. You still carry on and you have others still to carry on with and for. For me, it was my son.

Ok, sorry, I'm way off topic here. But I hope this helps you a little....

Very well said Barb. I really admire your strength. God Bless.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Dawn... you've worked so hard to help Gypsy, and now this... it's heartbreaking. I'm hoping for as much good time together as possible for both of you.

Dawn I am so so sorry, you have tried to hard for so long. Only you can decide what is best for her. I pray that you will have more time with her. It is so heartbreaking after you loosing Chandler. Sending hugs and prayers.

Oh Dawn how very sad and unfortunate to go through this so soon again. Please know that we are thinking of you,

Best,
Kate

Thank you all so much for your prayers and concerns for Gypsy.

I was also sitting here thinking about some comments on FB that her numbers aren't that bad. I wouldn't want you all to think my Vet is bringing up considering letting her go due to just these numbers, I know he is looking at her overall health and quality of life. She has been dealing with these rashes from allergies since 18mos,her first UTI was at 6mos,she has been on antibiotics for both in her lifetime more than off and we can't get her Kidney numbers to stablize and each time we test they go up. I also feel bad that she has not had a great life always being sick and I wonder sometimes if it is all too much for her. She looks at me with so much love and I adore her. Who couldn't have you seen that face? Anyway sorry for rambling just thinking out loud and trying to do the best I can by her without having her suffer much more.
