Hello from TN!

Hi Michelle and welcome, I am Sherri from Ohio and I have a gang of shelties also. We enjoy herding, obedience, and Ukc conformation. Sounds like a great gang you have there, I love the pantleggers!

I'm really enjoying this forum, its nice to connect with people who have the same love of shelties that I have. Its also great being able to ask for and give advice and also read about the funny sheltie quirks and experiences.

I hope you're enjoying this forum as much as I am!

Thank you all for the nice welcome! It's nice to see fellow TN Sheltie lovers. I have friends that are Sheltie people, but they aren't local. We're in northeast TN, as well, but close to the VA and NC borders.

Auber's Mom, they already are!! Little ankle biters and pant pullers. I actually lived in Knoxville for a little over 3yrs. I miss it, but my family is here, so I moved back up here in 2001.
Man, that's great i thought i was alone here in the south. i live in Maggie valley,NC.
And yeah i agree with you Michelle. I've seen so many dogs get bought as puppies for little kids or by someone single and they either find they don't want it as it gets older, or they met someone that doesn't like dogs, or even the kids get bored after they grow out of the puppy stage and they stop taking care of them and the parents decide to punish the kid by taking the dog to the pound. It's evil! You shouldn't get a dog on a whim or use a dog to punish a kid. I believe (and have been taught) that if you get a dog or a animal you've made a commitment to care for that animal until it dies of old age or you HAVE to get rid of it and you have no choice but to give it up or you can't care for it anymore. And if you hurt that animal at anytime you should be hung up by you feet and left there to rot.

:eek2: sorry animals and pounds are a sore spot for me. I've seen to any hurt and killed do to thoughtless people.
