How often do you feed your shelties?

I feed twice per day. Free feeding is not an option with the Indy-hog.

Bacca would probably pace himself throughout the day, but Indy would just clean it up.

And now that Indy is officially "on a diet" its only going to get worse.

Do be careful about the amounts they say to feed your dog on the package. It's always inflated. I'm living with that myself. Indy needs to lose a some kilos. So I'm slowly cutting him back.
 
My first dog was free-fed for several years but he gained too much weight so I went to measuring and 2 meals a day. all dogs since have been fed that way. I know a dog that is now close to 3 yrs that has been free-fed and now could stand to lose some weight :no:
