How to keep a sheltie off the furniture?

Smudge refuses to jump on furniture. I have to pick him up, place him down, and bribe him with treats to stay for a picture. :rolleyes2:

Fluffy gets a running start and jumps in dad's chair like she owns the place. It's hilarious. She's still so small!

I was looking back through training threads for more information on clicker training and came across this thread that peaked my interest. OMG, what a great read with lots of laughs! When I think back to some of the Sca stories I have read in the last few months would it be a fair assessment to say that Sca won?!:biggrin2: In our house Mikos has claimed the big leather arm chair and Brie loves to stretch out in the middle of the family room couch so we're no different than anyone else!

No the battle rages on. If you will notice I post 'death from above' at times. Well Sca has taken to the high ground in the battle in order to attack from the back of the couch (even better to lick ears from). Also he motocrosses across furniture. Though last night when I was working on my flyball timer project and he came flying up knocking the laptop around then spit a rawhide right on the Arduino he did get in trouble

j/k I lost a long time ago and this winter we are hoping to get him a mini-me...it will end poorly for me

Yeah, I think when the Sca mini-me arrives your "I'm a happy sheltie dad' bucket will be wonderfully over flowing but with 2 sets of sheltie eyes, and double the sheltie fun, your toast bud:lol:

Love the photos! Toothy grin is great, sleepy head is sweet, but I love the bed head shot in the middle!

What a fun thread. My dogs are allowed all over the couch at my house. I bought a couch with them in mind....super durable! At my parents' home, no dogs allowed on the couch. They get it. Luckily, so they can go visit and are welcome anytime. Lexi pushes it once in a while, but that's because she not sure is she's one of the dogs or the people....:smile2:

I love waking up with Zak sharing my pillow. Luckily we have a king size bed. Some days he likes to cuddle up next to me.
