How to keep a sheltie off the furniture?

His idea of compromise is he gets to go in the chair and up on the couch when I am not in it and raid it for trouble while sitting/standing on my laptop. Oh and still get to come up and hide when there is something that scares him on TV :uhoh:

He is a climber, I am thinking the idea of a kids playset is ready made for him
 
Lightplum had picked up a kid's playset for her puppers and they looked like they were having a blast on it.

McKinley, on the other hand, has my alpine rock garden. He thinks it is a 10 x 15, 35 degree slope of rocks and plants designed specifically for his enjoyment. We have it all bedded down for winter here with mulch and he is uncovering everything and DIGGING!:cry:
 
Seems it is impossible.... curse his ultra soft fur :uhoh: 2 of four location are barricaded and he zooms in and out of his chair so much I have to move it back out from the wall after a couple of days.

Yes Sca has it tough :yes:

Yes, we love to live vicariously through other folk's successes and failures! Makes us feel alot less guilt when we find out we're not the only ones....:lol:
 
So first I kick him off the other end of the couch that he has figured out how to leap over the arm and get behind the laundry basket barricade. The he gets the zoomies and runs up in the blue chair and jumps down to his toy then loops about 20 times. The zoom zone expands to both chairs then change from chair to couch (yep up over me). Finally he slows but not before I have a chance to think on how much I hate y'all :mad:








j/k on the hate but yes I did think of this thread and I had Sca touring every piece of furniture in the room and jumping on me also.
 
Q. How do you keep a Sheltie off the furniture?

A. Move the furniture ... out of the house. :wink2:

Phebe pretty much only gets on the furniture when she's invited, or when we're sleeping. :rolleyes2:

Our bedroom gets really warm at night, so I've found her on the leather couch in the loft outside the bedroom and I think a few times she's snuck down to the guest room. I really don't care. I just vacuum the sofa pillows and comforter, and change the pillow cases.
