Love the new names!

(And now I feel like an idiot...I posted a comment on your thread about aggression....and for some reason thought that Twist was a cat! I've no idea where I came up with that idea! :razz:)
 
Barb, I thought that too. I think it was the way it was written (no offense to the OP).

I love the new names. Oliver and Twist. Too cute!

I don't even recall Koji's original name from the breeder, if he had one.
Miko's was Billy. As in billy goat cuz he was jumping on everything. Which he does and did and loved to do. So fitting.

I'm really digging the names. ;)
 
I love the new names, what a neat play on words. Funny how some breeders name the pups and some don't. Some pick good names and some times they just don't fit the puppy.
 
Adorable new names!

Aztec was supposed to be a Pip. (After the Great Expectations character) But we decided to go with Aztec instead.
 
When I got Angy from our local pet rescue they were calling him Murray, but I thought that Aonghus (meaning one strength) fit him better! He is definitely strong of will. I love the Dicken's names, I have a cockateil named Ebenezer, but he calls himself 'baby bird'.:lol:
 
Layla was "Boo-Boo" because of the white spot on her back. Bits was "Lady"-- a misnomer if there ever was one! :lol:
 
Bacca's pet name at the breeder was Guiseppe! Of all things! :lol: Somehow, it just didn't fit!

It did make me laugh at the time though, because when my son was born, we couldn't decide what to name him right away, so we called him "Guido"! I don't know where we came up with that being Scotts/Irish/French Canadian
 
When I bought Gus from the breeder, his name was Joshua. I knew that had to go--he just wasn't a Josh.

So...I landed on Fergus MacDougall Fergus meaning "first choice", which he was, so very appropriate.

Of course, Fergus morphed into Gus in about 24 hours, then somehow into Gussy Gus, a childhood cartoon character on a local Philadelphia TV station. But, he answers to Gus or Gussy Gus just the same. Why is it, though, that we revert to full formal names when the furkids are doing badness?

"Fergus MacDougall, come here right now!" Maybe because that's what my mother did:wink2: :"Giuseppe Giovanni, come here right now!" :winkgrin:

Oh for sure! I always knew I was in trouble when Mom said "Bar-ba-ra!"

I guess I must have heard that alot, because I reverted to Barb - even in my professional life! :lol:
